Why Infrared
Balham + Wimbledon
Not hot yoga.
Better heat.
Our studios are gently heated with infrared panels to create a warm, considered environment for movement — without the intensity of traditional hot yoga.
Why infrared?01 · Infrared, explained
Warmth you feel.
Not air you fight.
Infrared panels use radiant heat rather than simply blasting hot air around the room.
Traditional heating primarily warms the air around you. Infrared heating transfers radiant energy directly to people and surfaces within the space.
For us, that creates a different kind of studio: gently warm, comfortable and designed to support movement rather than make surviving the temperature the point of the class.
GoodGood classes are typically heated to 25–32°C.
02 · Why we use it
Heat with
a purpose.
The heat isn't there to make class harder. It's there to change how the room — and your practice — feels.
Warm.
A gently heated room helps the body feel warm and ready to move.
Move.
Warmth can make movement feel more comfortable as you settle into class.
Sweat.
Enough heat to get things moving, without turning class into an endurance test.
Reset.
Warmth, movement and an hour away from everything else. Sometimes that's exactly what you need.
03 · In the room
Think warm summer day.
Not Bikram.
Warm enough to feel the difference. Comfortable enough to keep moving.
Infrared panels warm the room differently from conventional forced-air heating.
Heat supports the experience. It isn't the experience.
Strong one day. Slow the next. Warm through all of it.
